The African Rainforest Pavilion is pretty impressive with its lush environment and diverse wildlife. It’s great that the zoo gives the animals plenty of space to roam, which is important for their well being. But, this can be a bit of a downside for visitors. I’ve been there twice and had trouble spotting the tiger both times. It was hard to get a good look or take a decent photo.
Considering that you might not see many animals during your visit, I think the zoo should consider lowering the ticket prices. It can be disappointing to pay full price and miss out on seeing some of the main attractions.
Overall, it’s a nice place to visit, but just be prepared that you might not see everything you hoped for.

So far African Rainforest Pavilion is the only area which I spotted many types of animal to see? Saw an Olive Baboon alone, murmuring, “ What hell so boring captured in here? Look so nice manmade rain forest with crazy freezing climate. With my tiny furs can’t stand this kind of temperature, don’t they know? Now, you understand ma! Why I look so moody?!

Really cool exhibit! There are lots of exotic animals from all over Africa, ranging from aquatic displays to gorilla enclosures. The main attractions are definitely the variety of primates that are in the zoo. Large areas are dedicated to letting them play and move around. However, the other animals are also very interesting to see; depending on what you are interested in, you can spend anywhere between half to multiple hours inside of this pavallion.
Washrooms and benches are scattered throughout the pavallion if you get tired from walking. The temperature inside isn't very hot but it can be slightly humid at times so water is suggested.

Great place for kids and adults equally! African side of the entire Toronto Zoo is the biggest. It took us 3.5 hours in entire African area out of our 5 hour tour. 5hours include 30mins of our snack break + rest. Spent only 1 hour at Indo-Malaya area.
Kids (5 & 2 years old) were tired in 5 hours. Entire zoo is quite big to cover all in one trip (I think).
Possibly non-African areas can be covered in one trip. This shows how much Africa is blessed with - in terms of animals/mammals/birds, in addition to all other natural resources.
Africa is too underrated - God bless you Africa - hopefully I will visit that region - One day!
