Spent a nice Saturday afternoon with with the family, Carol from Tiger Lily Alpaca Ranch, and 20 (or more) of her favourite alpacas. We took five of them, including Venus the special show alpaca for a walk on the back 20 acres. Then we had an alpaca picnic with the rest of the herd, including a month old 25 pound baby. This was an absolute standout day, guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and is something that every family should do!!

100% recommend visiting for an alpaca walk!! Carol is so charismatic- you can feel her respect and love of these animals as she guides you and tells stories and snippets of info about these beautiful creatures. The alpacas are so kind and curious. To top it off we had a snack and a drink with them after. An amazing way to spend the afternoon!

We took a group of inner city children out to the farm to learn more about life on a farm. As this is not the traditional Saskatchewan Farm, it was a learning experience for everyone on the life of Alpacas. Such a heartwarming experience. You are treated like family and the kids got to learn about how the Alpacas are shown at the Agribition and even lead them around on a trail walk. Afterwards they were able to feed them and the horses. We learned about the fibres of the Alpaca and how it is much warmer and softer than from sheep. Carol is very passionate about her Alpaca friends and takes great pride in showing them off.

We stopped in here on our cross country road trip through Western Canada. What a wonderful experience. Our goal was for warmth, we wanted some alpaca socks for warmth in the cold Ontario winters. We bought the socks (beautiful socks and quality at a fair price). It was another type of warmth that was the best part - and that was the warmth we received from the family that lives on the farm !! We met Dad, son & daughter who treated us like family members and not like someone who just drove up the driveway. We learned about their farm, we looked at all their animals and even fed some grain to them and snapped a few pictures. If your in search of alpaca products, and want to meet some the nicest people in Saskatchewan you have to come here. Thank you so much for a heart warming experience on our journey.
