10/10 The best zoo I ever went. The animal enclosures are really much more suitable than other zoos and the best example is the one for the polar bears and the one for the brown bears.

Such an amazing place! The train ride is a unique experience, absolutely a must. There are many animals to see in all other areas. The zoo is also an opportunity to see the striking and severe boreal forest up close. I also really appreciated the kids area with the water games and mini farm - it's a great place to have a picnic or an ice cream. There are also picnic tables (some with roofs) throughout the zoo, so it's easy to take a break. Overall, a must see in Lac Saint-Jean area.

Very nice place where to spend a day for kids and grown-ups alike. The zoo is divided into a more "traditional" area at the entrance, where you walk on a path through different animals' enclosures and a larger area, where animals roam freely and people go through on a little electric train with grates on the windows. It's a great experience that allows to see many animals real close but in their natural habitat. Too bad the long commentary audio on the train is in French only. Before getting on, we were told that we would be able to ask questions to the staff, but there's no staff on the train apart from the conductor. Anyway, we wete happy to have a chance to see two bears (taking a bath on a hot summer day), buffalos, red pandas, and many many more.

What an amazing experience, the train ride to see all the wild life was quite cool, and unique in that only animals native to North America are displayed. Only thing is- please add English also to the train tour so that ppl coming from rest of world could understand. Nice display of polar bears in the enclosure areas too- would definitely recommend this to you.

The place is really good, we saw all the animals as advertised and they look really good. The journey on the train is a must or your missed half of the animals. Maybe you should start your exploration with that as the last train leaves by 3:30 pm. Is am giving 3 because they did not make a paper maps available, so if you are an old school as I am, you will have a lot of trouble navigating. Another reason is that the food is horrible, don't take a chance and bring your food with you or you will regret it. So if you have no issues with downloading the maps and you bring your own food, it will be a 5 experience. I recommend this place for a family visit

Thé zoo was an amazing experience, I high recommend that you go ealry and the first thing you do is the free train towards the end of the zoo first to start off since the ride highly Entertaining and enjoyable! You are meet with a train car that takes you on a 1hour ride around the whole back of the park to explore the beautiful free Roaming animals and breathtaking nature ! After that feel free to explore the rest of the part and take your time to read the info and observe the animals while doing so! One of the funniest zoo I’ve been in !

This zoo is a kind of place where most of the time the visitors are in a cage and that's a good thing 🙂 We enjoyed our ride with the train, seeing the animals sometimes up close, the scenery was amazing and the little description of life in Canada a couple of centuries back was interesting. In the zoo part probably we managed to see all animals, including the tiger, with the little exception the arctic fox. This was an afternoon very well spent! (Unfortunately we missed the feeding times).

This is a beautifully kept zoo. The animals all seem to be very happy - especially those in the wild portion. We had a great time!
